RADHA MOHAN RAJINDER MOHAN (RMRM) GOLD VASE
The Radha Mohan Rajinder Mohan Challenge Cup was presented by Late Lala Radha Mohan, Rais-E-Azam of Delhi in January, 1907. It is a 10 goal polo trophy wherein the total handicap of all four players of the team cannot be more than 10 goals and the lower limit being 4 goals. It was first played for in 1907 and won by 35 Sikh Bn. It is one of the oldest polo trophy in the Delhi Polo Calander and attracts large participation. It was not played for after 1939 in view of the World War II. It was replayed for again in 1957 and thereafter has been played every year in Delhi during Fall Polo Season Oct/Nov till 2002. In Dec 1972, Mr Rajinder Mohan- The great grand son of Late Radha Mohan had the Cup remodeled and converted into a Gold Cup. The RMRM Gold Vase Cup has been played for and won by legendary teams as the Patiala Tigers, Royal Deccan Horse, Viceroy’s Bodyguard, Ratanada. Joginder & Jaswant Singh, India’s two Ten handicap player and Rao Raja Hanut Singh, India’s most famous international player have their name etched on the trophy.
